How Wabi Sabi came to be

We did not come into this work after studying construction and design in fact, David has his Masters in Business Administration and I have my Masters in Social Work. We began instead, by working on our own homes and for awhile, I even had a small furniture and design store with my sister when I needed a change from social work. After building our own home, remodeling another and then another and then another we decided we would give it a go and engage in a few projects with family and friends. Through these projects, we found that we both love connecting over projects together and we love how it feels to make a home feel really really warm and inviting.

In my work in mental health, I am always struck by how the whole story of who you are is what makes each person unique and beautiful. It is the owning of the whole of ourselves that sparks growth, love and acceptance, especially when our story is imperfect. Finding perfection in our imperfection is what makes us who we are, why should our homes be any different? We should want our homes to tell a story that is ours alone and David and I enjoy helping each person get to just that right space. Building a home or remodeling a home can be daunting, we get it because we have been there. We want you to feel connected to your home through the perfectly imperfect touches that make you feel at home, with as little stress as possible. Let us know if we can help you get there in your home!
